About

Boomi was founded in 2000 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and launched its AtomSphere iPaaS platform in 2007—one of the first cloud-native integration platforms. Acquired by Dell Technologies in 2010, then sold to Francisco Partners and TPG Capital in 2021 for $4B, Boomi now operates independently. The unified platform covers application integration, API management, data pipelines, EDI/B2B, and file transfer from a low-code visual designer. Its distributed runtime (Atoms) deploys on-premises, in the cloud, or at the edge. Boomi serves over 20,000 customers across manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and financial services, and competes with MuleSoft and Informatica IICS. It differentiates on ease of implementation, a large library of prebuilt connectors, and flexible hybrid deployment.
