Deepnote
Collaborative data science notebook platform
About
Founded in 2019 in San Francisco by former engineers from Two Sigma, Palantir, and Google, Deepnote provides a cloud-hosted, Jupyter-compatible notebook environment built for team collaboration. Data scientists and analysts use Deepnote to write Python, SQL, and R, connect directly to data sources including Snowflake and BigQuery, and share results as interactive reports without leaving the notebook environment. Over 100,000 data professionals use the platform, including teams at Ramp, Motive, SoundCloud, Gusto, Webflow, Discord, and ByteDance. In 2024, Deepnote acquired Hyperquery to expand its SQL analytics capabilities. The company raised a $20M Series A from Index Ventures, Accel, Y Combinator, and Credo Ventures.
