About
Founded in 2022 by Neel Somani in San Francisco, Eclipse builds a modular Layer 2 blockchain combining Solana's high-speed execution via the Solana Virtual Machine with Ethereum's security for settlement. The mainnet launched in November 2024, hosting 60+ decentralized applications across DeFi, gaming, and digital services, including Orca, Save, and Nucleus. The native ES token launched in July 2025. Sydney Huang took over as CEO in August 2025. Eclipse is backed by Placeholder, Hack VC, Polychain Capital, and Delphi Digital.
