Founded in 2017 by Jesse DePinto in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Frontdesk operated a short-term apartment rental platform offering fully furnished apartments as hotel alternatives in urban markets across the US. The company leased apartments from property owners and listed them on platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, and its own site, targeting business travelers and extended-stay guests. At its peak Frontdesk operated in over 30 US cities. The company filed for receivership in January 2024 after facing financial difficulties, effectively ceasing operations.
