Founded in 2020 and based in Mérignac, France, Hynaero develops the Fregate-F100, a next-generation amphibious water bomber aircraft designed to suppress wildfires effectively. The company aims to replace aging seaplane fleets and provide a credible aerial firefighting response. Hynaero secured regional and European funding, including a €1M initial round and further planned seed funding. Supported by Airbus and design partners, they plan prototype tests by 2029 and market entry by 2031. Their business model focuses on manufacturing and deploying advanced aircraft to government and firefighting organizations.
