IQVia
Healthcare data and life sciences platform
About
IQVIA was formed in 2016 from the merger of IMS Health (founded 1954) and Quintiles (founded 1982), two dominant players in healthcare data and clinical research outsourcing respectively. The combined company provides pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies with access to 1.2 billion non-identified patient records, real-world evidence analytics, clinical trial operations, and commercial analytics for drug launch and market access decisions. IQVIA serves every major global pharma and biotech company and is publicly traded on the NYSE. In 2026 it launched IQVIA.ai, a unified agentic AI platform built with NVIDIA.
