Founded in 2018 by CEO Maneesh Jain in South San Francisco, Mirvie develops the Mirvie RNA Platform, which analyzes tens of thousands of cell-free RNA messages circulating in maternal blood to predict serious pregnancy complications months before symptoms appear. The platform has been validated in the largest molecular study of pregnancy, analyzing 22,000 RNA transcripts across nearly 11,000 pregnancies. In May 2025, Mirvie launched Encompass, a direct-to-consumer blood test for preeclampsia that predicted 9 of 10 pregnancies developing preterm preeclampsia as high-risk.
