About
Founded by Dennis Pilarinos, who previously built Buddybuild (acquired by Apple in 2018) and held director roles at Microsoft and Amazon, Unblocked is an AI context engine for software development teams. The platform continuously ingests code, documentation, planning tools such as Jira and Confluence, Slack conversations, and runtime signals to build a persistent organizational model of the engineering system. This context is surfaced to AI coding agents including Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot via MCP, enabling AI tools to generate code, reviews, and answers that match a team's specific standards and architecture rather than generic outputs. In May 2025, Unblocked raised $20M in Series A funding from B Capital and Radical Ventures, bringing total capital raised to $30M.
